White Wine

DOLCE VITA 2007
This "white wine" from red grapes has rather more colour than the previous vintage, due to the drought induced colour intensity in the skins. It is better described as a "Rose".

The process involved removal of free run juice at the crusher, then slow cold fermenting as a white wine.

This handpicked and hand made wine may be enjoyed at any time, where a "white" may be considered.

SAUVIGNON BLANC 2009
Our 2009 Sauvignon Blanc was handpicked, beginning at dawn, by family, friends and a few European holidaymakers on 11th February; earlier than usual, following a warm and dry ripening period.

The grapes were crushed before midday, then commenced a 60 day cold fermentation which has resulted in delicate varietal aroma and a crisp clean mouth feel, characteristic of organically grown Sauvignon Blanc.
